Closed Captioning, again...

I've searched all the topics for this subject, but it appears a lot of the information predates the 4.1 release. I really need a clear answer to this, hopefully from the SnapStream people directly.

Does Beyond TV now support Closed Captioning for OTA DTV & HDTV? (I can live without this for the few analog channels I'll still use.)

By "support", I mean can I turn on and off the closed captions while playing "live" TV AND while playing back recorded programs?

If the answer is No, does anyone have any idea how long I'll have to wait, or if any of my other software alternatives DO support it?

This is a MUST HAVE, non-negotiable, top priority requirement for me. I really want to move to HDTV and build a recorder for it, but it can't happen without captioning support.

not yet, I think it is only for pvr-250. Each card captures differently, so SS has to go through each card to setup where to read it from, the way I understand it.

I Believe the answer is no unfortunately. Someone tried but had nothing but garbage out.

I'm toying with getting an OTA card too; captioning is crucial to me as well. I expect to be making lots of noise...
