Would BTV support such a card? Would they be able to given the DRM around this?

Bump

If anyone at SnapStream is listening I sure hope that you are thinking about how SnapStream would work with this product as I would be willing to switch away from BTV if I could use this to tune my HDTV cable content.

Now if only Canadian cable companies would provide CableCards...

cable card 1.0 actually really sucks.
and that's what Vista supports...

CableCard 2.0 is what's good!

Why is that? I realize that the 1.0 spec doesn't allow for an EPG, VOD or PPV, but I can live with that, especially in an HTPC.

What else is wrong with CableCard1.0?

Presumably once CableCard2.0 is realease they will have a new version of the OCUR that will support it as well.

many cable companies don't wanna deal with cable card 1.0... since it has so many limitations....
