System Hang ?

I have been having intermittent problems with my system hanging when I leave it unattended & running only the BTV server. What happens is that if I leave the sever running overnite of for a couple of days it will freeze up randomly. I get a message that the server is hanging and the CPU is pegged at 100%. I can sometimes get into the task manager after a while and it appears that explorer.exe is using 99% . I dont know if this is a BTV problem or something has gotten messed up in WinXp.
Anyone else have this type of sittuation. I started getting this when I upgrade from a beta 4.0 to the final 2811 build.
I probably should have reported it a long time ago but have been trying to find the problem on my own thinking it was not a BTV problem but if I close the BTV server app and leave the system on it seems to be ok. To be fair I have not left it on for more than a couple of days without loading BTV since its my dedicated BTV server and I would loose my ability to record with out BTV server running.
Honestly while I have been a long time BTV user and beta tester I think the beta version of 4.0 was more stable for me than the current retail one. I have been waiting for a new beta update.

I notice that we have nearly identical setups...OC'ed XP-m's and NF7's.

I don't know if this will be useful or not, but are you showsqueezing overnight?

A few months ago, I had my computer dump out on me several nights in a row, while using AutoGK to transcode some shows. At the time, I was running the CPU @ 2500mhz and RAM timings way too tight for stability. I've since dialed her down to 2300 and loosened my RAM latency, and it's rock solid through the all night transcode torture sessions. Incidentally, I was able to up the FSB from 400 with 2-2-2-11 timing to 430 with 3-4-4-8 timing.

My CPU is set at 11X200 and an FSB of 400 standard Cas 2.5 mem settings. I have never tried to go any higher because it has proved to be more than enough for my purposes. Its been rock stable so I hve left it there. I have not done any showsqueezing ot AutoGK in a long time. I constantly get a message that nveiw has detected that someting is not connected or something but just close the window and it seems to be ok again.
I also just installed a new beta and the problem has not re-occured so maybe its a non issue now. Thats all I can say for now.

My system had the same problem. Over night my system would be maxed out with the hard drive thrashing uncontrollablly. I was able to track it down to the fire wall I had installed. I used Zone Alarm. It was an older version as I had not updated in about a year and a half. Try disabling your fire wall and just watch what you down load for a day or so. Good luck.
