BeyondTV a Service?

I am running BeyondTV v4 on WinXP Pro SP2 and I have noticed that none of my recordings are made unless there is a user logged on, and the BeyondTV app is running in the taskbar. Is this correct? I had assumed that the BeyondTV software would run as an actual Windows service and would not need a user to be logged on. I flipped the setting in the web config to start BeyondTV on system startup, but all that did was add the app to the startup folder, that still requires a user to be logged on.

Thanks in advance.

Re: BeyondTV a Service?

Yes -- BTV runs as a Usermode Application by default

Re: BeyondTV a Service?

By default, do you mean it can be configured to run as an actual Windows service?
