Why no evaluation?
I've taken a look at SS for almost 30 days now. I remain unconvinced that it is worthy of my purchase, but it's very nearly what I require. From what I hear, the upcoming Quartz release is closer to what I'm looking for (multiple codex support, live TV viewing, etc.)
I'm interested in getting Quartz when available, but I want to evaluate it before my purchase. Is there a way I can do this? I'm eager to finalize my decision. Why won't it be made available to me when it's released this week (admittedly in pre-beta form)??? I think it's a poor decision to block potential customers from this new product, even if it's not finished, as some of us aren't happy with the current 2.0 version, and this early version of Quartz may very well convince us to open our wallets. Heck, even 2.0 isn't finished, yet we are allowed an eval of that. I'm confused... It's an unusual business model...

Probably because the beta has no restrictions that the Lite version has (25 min recordings and streaming, etc.). And if the Beta Works then why get the full released version?
Come on man, who are you trying to fool? How will the beta even remotely work correctly when we have waited for over a year for 2.0 to work? Sigh. |

Currently, the tech preview will go out to members of the beta list and registered users of SnapStream Personal Video Station.
If you aren't already on the beta list for Quartz, send an e-mail to beta@snapstream.com |
