So who will get this beta release?

So who will get this beta release?

All users?

Some?

Only people who have said nice things on this board?

What is the deal?

Thanks

Why no evaluation?

I've taken a look at SS for almost 30 days now. I remain unconvinced that it is worthy of my purchase, but it's very nearly what I require. From what I hear, the upcoming Quartz release is closer to what I'm looking for (multiple codex support, live TV viewing, etc.)

I'm interested in getting Quartz when available, but I want to evaluate it before my purchase. Is there a way I can do this? I'm eager to finalize my decision. Why won't it be made available to me when it's released this week (admittedly in pre-beta form)???

I think it's a poor decision to block potential customers from this new product, even if it's not finished, as some of us aren't happy with the current 2.0 version, and this early version of Quartz may very well convince us to open our wallets. Heck, even 2.0 isn't finished, yet we are allowed an eval of that.

I'm confused... It's an unusual business model...

Probably because the beta has no restrictions that the Lite version has (25 min recordings and streaming, etc.). And if the Beta Works then why get the full released version?

That is my take on it. Maybe if these betas were time limited then it will work for everyone. So lets say after the month is up it's time to get a new beta or pay for the full version. That way you won't have anyone running an old beta just to get the features of snapstream without paying for it. And the beta can be opened to everyone. You can even hard code the date into the code so that even if you do a new install, if the beta date has past it would still not work.

Come on man, who are you trying to fool? How will the beta even remotely work correctly when we have waited for over a year for 2.0 to work?

Sigh.

You speak as "we" are all having problems. Try using singular pronouns like "I" or "me". Just because you have some issues, does not mean "we" all do. It works fine for "me".

Trolling?

If I would have meant the entire user base wouldn't I have used "EVERYONE" or "ALL"?

Go back to trolling.

Currently, the tech preview will go out to members of the beta list and registered users of SnapStream Personal Video Station.

If you aren't already on the beta list for Quartz, send an e-mail to beta@snapstream.com

"We" as in the group of users who are having problems.

Let it die already.

I sent a message a couple months back, but never received a reply about it. So, by sending a message are you on the list?

Yes, if you sent an e-mail in a while back, you should be on the beta list.
