changing what remote buttons control in beyondtv with mce 2005 remote...

hi-

i have beyondtv and a mce 2005 remote. i found girder and installed it so i can change what some of the buttons on the remote do. i set it all up and got it working. it works but only some commands work though, its very frustrating.

for example i setup the "GUIDE" button on my remote to send "e" to launch the transparent guide. when i'm watching live tv i like the transparent guide much better to browse. that works fine. however UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT / SELECT ... none of those work once the transparent guide comes up.

any idea what is going on?

is there a way to do this without girder? modify some beyondtv ini file or something?

i use girder and send "e" and the transparent guide comes up but then my directional arrows dont work.

I have the opposite problem. I setup girder and was able to remap the green button to launch BTV full screen and also to take me to the home screen if BTV was already running. I setup the guide button to send "e" also for the transparent guide but it just does not work for me. The transparent guide just won't come up.

I use the MCE remote control with BTV without girder and most buttons work just fine including the cursor buttons in the guide.

The reason I use Girder is to be able to use the ir blasters that come with the MCE 2005 remote as well as to map "The Green BUtton" to the home screen.
