BTV2DVD - Archive to CD or DVD program

Program to archive or burn recordings to CD or DVD from within BeyondTV Recordings screen - I put together a VB app that uses several command line processes in one app and allow configuration and store settings and archive or burn recordings to CD or DVD media. This started inspired and based on not_Shorty’s finding. I started it based on replacing the batch file with his process and added some fluff.

Highlights:
*Settings screen to allow for easy configuration changes.
*Option to choose between a CD or DVD burner.
*Chapter cutting command line input. I have a mod request in for the IGCutter program to allow a file name to be past to it.
*Option to erase media prior to burning – I need to find a disk to test this still.
*Option whether to eject the disk on completion.
*Option to show the next command prior to processing to verify settings - good for debugging.
*Option to show the processing windows or hide them.
*Option to show the settings window when submitting archive job to verify or change settings.

Todo list:
Finish and verify the chapter cutting process.
Verify CD media handling.
Verify erase process add configuration line in settings screen.
Add option to burn data or video disk.
Looking into if multisession for DVDs is possible.
Verify and add more error handling.

Requirements:
Nero DVD software version 5? and up – I am using 5.5 - http://www.nero.com/
_Shorty’s One touch DVD burning package - One Touch DVD Burning package
Hopefully the new release IGCutter for chapter cutting - IGCutter v0.5 beta released

Instructions:
Grab _Shorty’s setup – Leave him praise for posting them - and add these to the same directory. Then add PathWhereLocated\BTV2DVD.exe to the ‘Archive to CD or DVD’ line within the web admin page. You can get to the settings page of this app by running this app or it will open on the first archive process. There is a file param_file.txt that holds the nerocmd parameters. I found I had to comment out the --dvdvideo_cmpt line for version 5.5.

Re: BTV2DVD - Archive to CD or DVD program

My motherboard just burned up, so theres no way for me to play with this stuff till the new one comes in, but I just wanted to say thanks for the work you guys are putting into this. Great work. Hopefully someone can figure out how those standalone DVD-Recorders are able to burn multiple shows onto a disk. That would really make this project worth while.
