Help required in London

We are a London based media company working primarily with Theatrical film distribution and TV companies. Recently we have been asked to provide a media monitoring service for a major client, basically this would require us to be able to monitor around 30 channels (15 TV and 15 Radio) and have the ability to schedule recordings as deemed appropriate. In theory we would need the ability to record 30 channels at the same time, this however is very unlikely and we believe that the ability to record up to 15 channels simultaneously would more suffice. Once we have recorded the sections (which would primarily be news items / review programs) we would then need the ability to edit and record to DVD or even VHS.

We are struggling to find a technical solution to this problem, so far our research has either resulted in prohibitively expensive or technically unproved systems.

Having viewed the Medusa PVR system we believe this - or maybe 3 or 4 of these systems (!) may provide us with a technical solution.

Can anyone help with this - does the system work in Pal

Re: Help required in London

hi i can say that the system would have no problems working in PAL as i am from the uk and use it fine

editing (with the correct editing program) and recording to dvd or vhs would be possible

there is currently no built in function that provides uk tv guide data for beyond tv but a program called XMLTV can be used to gather the guide data

there are ither ppl who can comment on the best solution for you but im sure they will follow
