Matrox G550 card
Just out of curiosity, I put an old Matrox G550 card into my SS system- Sad to say that it worked better than my ATI card in overlay & 3D modes in regards to choppy playback and blurring.
Granted, picture quality was not as sharp as the ATI and I don't think this card is better but I had to try it out just to see for myself. This card doesn't convert higher resolutions all that well either but, for someone who isn't concerned with 3d games or high resolution settings may find this video card to be a cheap alternative when building a system.
