Thumbs down iautomate out of business?

Just a warning to everyone to think twice before ordering from iautomate.com

I ordered and paid for some stuff ( about $300 ), never got it and they have not answered a single phone call or email.

Exclamation Re: iautomate out of business?

It's been at least a couple of weeks since my order. They are still taking orders I think. The website looks like they're in business. I've tried calling at all times. You get a lot of bogus messages like the sales guy's mailbox is full and the accounting dept has restricted hours and blah, blah, blah. If they ARE in business they are really crappy at it. The 1-888 number is still up and works in Canada but after that you get nowhere.

I did have a brief contact with:

Andy at info@iautomate.com about an SDK he was supposed to post to the server but nothing has happened since the 6th and no contact from him when I emailed a couple days ago.

It would be great to have someone swing by physically!!

Thanks for the responses.

Re: iautomate out of business?

Sorry Brett - there doesn't appear to be a street address and the only thing on the website is:

Alpharetta, GA

Even the message board looks a bit fishy since there are very few posts. You'd figure a company with wide-ranging products would have more traffic there.

I also see the copyright at the bottom of the webpage only extends to 2003...

Re: iautomate out of business?

Yeah, I just called them again and press option 2 (sales and sales questions) then I got a "All sale associates are busy now. leave number and time zone so we can get back to you" not an exact quote. I did I whois on the webaddress and got this information.

I found the address (if real) and suite # is 103 though 251? But phone # is listed as all 9s.

However you have a Technical contact which could be the guy or the guy who takes care of the servers.

Re: iautomate out of business?

Is it Statebridge or Shiloh Rd? The 678 area code would work for either one.

Re: iautomate out of business?

I guess it's pretty clear what's going on. If it looks like a duck....

They did charge my Visa so I guess we're out $389.43

The important thing here is to somehow get them shut down before they take anyone else's money. This would seem to be a major scam (at least at the moment).

A bizarre thought - could the majority of the company been vacationing in Indonesia around Xmas? I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt but you'd think they'd have communicated something like that.

I don't know what legal recourse could be used. I'm in Canada so maybe one of you locals could contact the BBB or something? I wonder if I could get in touch with their ecommerce supplier...
