Hi, SS Experts!
SCENARIO: I'm building a custom setup for an "Average Homeowner" client. They are having a contractor build an 1800 square foot home and they want a home media setup. They will be installing structured wiring (including ethernet). They will have 3 rooms with TVs. Here's my current plan: 1) Media Server (connected to one room TV): - 4 Capture Cards (Number of TVs + 1) [this way they can watch live TV in each room with an extra card for recording another channel] - BeyondMedia - BeyondTV - FireFly Remote 2) PC "extender" for each TV (2 total): - HD for OS/Apps only (file storage on Media Server) - Ethernet (structured wiring for connectivity) - BeyondMedia - BeyondTV Link - FireFly Remote Will this setup be fine for the "Average Homeowner" setup to allow them to have complete access to Live TV, Recording TV, playing different music playlists in each room, etc.? Or do you have a better solution? They are slightly concerned about cost, however, they will be rolling it into their mortgage so it won't be as bad as if they were buying it all off the shelf on credit. Thanks! Scott |
