Meadia MVP skip buttons

Does anyone know how to make the bottom skip buttons on the remote skip more time than the default 15 second skip? I would like to see this button skip 30 or 60 seconds. But have not been able to find where to modify this setting.
Thanks
Wayne

Re: Meadia MVP

I haven't tried it yet but supposedly the lastest beta software for the MediaMVP available at shspvr.com has a user definable setting for the time on the skip.

Re: Meadia MVP

I have downloaded the latest from Hauppauge site and do not see any where to change it in the settings window.

Re: Meadia MVP

I just downloaded that one and installed it. I still see nothing under settings to change this.

Re: Meadia MVP

I use the Media2BTV update on the MediaMVP and have the same question. Would be great to find a way to do this. There is a settings menu visible on the TV connected to MediaMVP but whenever I go into this menu it kicks me back to the main menu. Any ideas?

Re: Meadia MVP

From the SHSPVR.COM forum....

MediaMVPSetup Installer Version 2.3.22343 (12/08/04)
*****************************************
* New Settings
- Screen Saver - Logo/Blank/Off
- Screen Saver Delay
- Video Skip Interval
- Slide Show Interval
- Sort Order
* Slide Show - Next/Prev Image - please use "Skip/Replay" buttons

Download it from the post here: http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6571
Looks like it is a buggy release but at least you know it is being worked on.

Re: Meadia MVP

Any idea how to invoke the settings screen after loading the BTV hack? Seems like the settings screened referred to in the link you provided are not accessible once you load the BTV hack. Perhaps I am missing the obvious. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Meadia MVP

Since the BTV "skin" was designed before the new settings they don't have it incorporated in their code. I think if you load up the new MediaMVP beta and run that before installing the BTV skin you can change the settings and then install the skin. It should remember the settings that way.

Re: Meadia MVP

Thanks for the additional info. I downloaded and installed that version and was able to change the skip time and then I reinstalled the btv patch again and it retained the settings
Thanks

Re: Meadia MVP

MannyTC & doubledose, thanks for the excellent suggestion and confirmation. Will try this approach. Regards

EDIT : Tried and found that this approach works great! Then Splint released the new version of the MediaMVP2BTV skin and now you can manipulate settings even after your MediaMVP is configured for BTV! Super!!! Only wish is that Hauppauge implements capability to set different values for backward & forward skip.

Re: Meadia MVP

I agree, the new version is much more user freindly. Just downloaded it and like the extra features added.
