Hard Drive performance

I keep my hard drive constantly de-fragged using Diskkeeper Pro but every once in a while, I will get a pause when watching live TV then a jump as if the resources were catching up to the playback. (does that make sense?)

I don't think it's a beyond TV issue and I was wondering if there was a trick to improve playback performance of live TV?

Thanks!

Re: Hard Drive performance

I see this once in a while, but it is usually around a time when a recording is starting or stopping. Is there any pattern to when you see it ?

Re: Hard Drive performance

This happens randomly during Live TV over long periods of time. Maybe it has to do with dumping the buffer or something similar.

It's minor and doesn't really affect anything. I do not get this in video recording so far.
