Yeah, last year they publically announced Beyond Media and FireFly at CES...

There's some more info on the page above about our presence at CES.

The question is, drum roll, will SS have something new to show in CES? Anything hints? ;-)

Well, CES or no CES... Is there anything to be excited about? Can we at least have a bugfix to BTV 3.5.1 and a feature-complete BM? Please?

That was all I was expecting them to "announce" .

However, they are working on several different projects. Unfortuantely, they are still heavily in design and development and for competative reasons details can not be shared.

One thing I am allowed to mention (and am highly excited about) is they are definitely working on bringing BeyondTV into the highly customizable BeyondMedia engine. This is gonna be seriously cool.

I have heard of a few things scheduled for what I assume will be BTV3.6 that are in the "development" phase, and even a few "more revolutionary" goodies that will come in some "other" bigger release (hint, hint).

It really sucks that I can't say more but they have their reasons.

Re: Is Snapstream at CES?

Brett,

Thanks for your message. I full well understand the need to keep "forward-looking statements" well under control and time them for best commercial impact. To be frank, I really don't care so much about new features right now or changes to backend engine etc but my interest lies more so in the reliability area. I guess this type of issue is not what you would expect SS CEO to announce anything on at CES anyways.

I am hoping to see an announcement soon on when we can expect the next minor release which will include the bug fixes to BTV and provide the much awaited features to BM as well as stability to this young and yet to mature product.

Please don't get me wrong. Not taking a pot-shot at you or SS. I like the products and thats why I'm still here. Its not soo expensive that I can't cut the losses and move on. What I'd like to see is that the company is a little bit more forthcoming on when it will deliver each new minor release and what it will cover. I would also like to see some sign indicating that the company is focusing on the bug-fixes as much as they are on the new & cool features.

Am I asking for too much? Thanks
