You cannot play video games through btv, there are some buffers and what not that are used to encode the video and because of this the images/sound on the screen through btv would be delayed by at least a second or two. This delay would be far too long to play any type of video game (pressing shoot then waiting 2 seconds to see if you hit your target is not exactly practicle).
As for the wintv software, its video is piped straight to the video card/screen and is not buffered like btv does (because wintv does not have things like the ability to pause live tv). So in that case you ‘might’ be able to play video games using that type of setup.
