Integrate BTV 3.5 with Meedio

When BTV 3.5 comes out in a few days I am going to try to integrate in into my htpc with my newly puchased version of meedio.

Do any of you have any similar setups and if so what is the best way to integrate the two into a seamless as possible configuration?

ie. How do you launch BTV from Meedio and then close BTV and return to Meedio? Are there any focus issues to worry about?

merrypig has written a BTVImporter plugin for Meedio. I haven't tried it though. I just use Firefly to switch between Meedio and BTV. No focus issues for me although I believe some people have had some problems. Give it a try and hopefully it'll be fine for you.

I'm looking for the most efficient way to launch the Full Screen interface of BTV from medio and the when I exit BTV I want to return focus to meedio.

I know I can figure out a method to launch BTV from meedio... I'm just looking to see if others have found a perferential way to launch it.

I'm assuming exiting the BTV Frontend will return focus to meedio.

I just setup Firefly to launch Meedio using the Firefly button. This will also return focus to Meedio if Meedio is already running.

I have Medio installed and BTV is an option on the menu. I've found that with my system having only Medio and BTV running, that anytime I exit the BTV interface it brings me right back to medio, but BTV continues running. It records normally and does everything else normally. I have had no problems whatsoever with this setup.

At some point I remembered that ALT-Tab will switch focus from BTV to Medio and vice versa if they are the only two programs running. That way you don't have to click on BTV in medio to bring it up and wait for it to load. The only problem is when zoomplayer is playing a dvd in Medio. Then you have 3 tasks running and Alt-Tab would switch to one of the three programs. to get around this, I programmed a button on my remote that when pressed, alt-tabs to the other program, but I have this button disabled in the zoomplayer remote setup section in my irremote.ini.

My setup has to be totally wife proof and she loves it !
