When will Snapstream support other codecs?

Does anyone know when snapstream will support other codecs, such as avi and mpg?

I read it on one of the pages that it said it would be supporting that in the future, but not now.

However, this is probably the only thing that is holding me back from purchasing this product.

Any eta's?

Thanks

Hahahahaha! I was foolish enough to buy SnapStream in the hope they'd support other codecs such as MJPEG or MPEG2. It's been months and there's not been a sign of anything resembling support for these codecs.

Ironically, it was there before version 1.5 (apparently) but was taken out to concentrate on making Microsoft happy... uh, I mean because it was buggy (yeah, that's it).

www.math.berkeley.edu/~benrg/huffyuv.html

This is a link to the huffyuv page where you can d/l the lastest huffyuv.dll codec for lossless compression of YUY2 or UYVY video streams. If you have a capture program that uses plug-ins then get this codec!
(VirtualDub is good...www.virtualdub.com)
It produces large files but you can then compress them with DivX;-) or your favorite codec. Since it is lossless is it a good codec for capture and editing (I believe the resulting file is or can be .avi) before you finally compress it down to "archive" form.

Check it out...and SnapStream folks, if you are adding stuff to a user wish-list, put support for this in there!
