Multiple Questions

(1) I downloaded and installed SnapStream 2.0 Lite. And it works fine with my AverMedia Stereo TV card. My question is the scheduler seems to be a third party product. What happens if they discontinue their service and my ability to schedule programming is lost? Also on that topic, I'd hate to spend the money that later find out I'd be forced to pay a monthy service fee to use some type of scheduling tool like TiVo or RepalyTV.

(2) Also what is SnapStream.Net Central Service?

And a feature needed - the ability to config multiple locations / folders for storage.

1) The Scheduler (www.titantv.com) I take it is a third party EPG. Snapstream plans on integrating the TV listings into the product itself. I don't believe that titan is a permanate solution. Whether or not a fee will be involved in getting this guide data I don't know. A good solution would be to use Gemstar to get guide data. I know my RCA tv does it and other programs that I have (ATI TV Listings, Pocket TV Listings) gets their data from gemstar and I don't have to pay for it.

2) Snapstream.net is actually two things. The first is Snapstream Anywhere. This service will allow you to give your snapstream server a DNS entry so you can access your computer without having to remember your ip. It will also update this entry if you ip changes. When you are signed up and properly configured every time you load snapstream it will contact the server with the new info. This service was working at one time but has since been taken offline.

The second service is a place where you can share your shows. A place where users can go to and get shows from other users on the net. I'm not sure if this is suppose to be a message board or just a lisitng of currently online and accessable servers. Legal implications(I believe) has suspended this service.

And for your last request you CAN! Just make a new directory where you want your files to go to and then create a new store in the configurations section. Point it to your new directory and reference it in your recording options. All your new recording will go into this new dir wherever it is. On a new drive or in a new directory.

Thanks for the reply.

On the topic of the SnapStream.Net Central Service thing. I have a home network with a LinkSys box which to my understanding acts as a firewall. Would this still function or would I have to open a port to the outsite to allow my Snapstream Anywhere to be seen?
