Scotty I need more power

After an unexpected clean install of windows 2000(corrupt file) I reinstalled snapstream and began to play with some settings to see if I could get some video that was watchable without the audio slowdowns and such. I don't know if it is related to the new install, or me not installing the ati media center or whatever. All I know is that if I use the high dsl/cable setting everything is great. From looking at the cpu usage with the different settings it seems that near vhs and up had my cpu usage in the 80's and 90% range, when using the dsl setting I still get spikes in the 80's and 90's but it is smooth. Now I have to stress this puppy for a regular show 1 1/2 or so and see how it pulls through. Before the new install I couldn't get the 28.8 or 56K settings to work all i get is a scrambled picture. I will try this again and report back with my findings.
