Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

Hello folks,
I currently have a Gyration Media Keyboard that I normally use for my HTPC setup. Well my "regular" computer keyboard broke yesterday and I am having to use the Gyration as my standard desktop keyboard. I am finding it very painful to type long messages (just for surfing the net its no problem, but typing paragraphs is quite uncomfortable). I found the Logitech Media DiNovo and its about the same size as the Gyration, which I like, but adds a palm rest.

My question is has anyone used the DiNovo, and is it confortable to type on? Or better yet can ANYONE RECOMMEND A COMFORTABLE WIRELESS keyboard. Come on don't be shy . This is NOT for my HTPC, so size is not really a big deal, confort is far more important.

Thanks in advance guys,
-Brett

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

I am currently using the standard Logitech Wireless Comfort Duo. Althought it is probally larger than you are looking for, their wireless technology is wonderful and is very good on batteries.

I use this belkin never unwrapped the mouse though.

Not sure it would be as comfortable as you'd need though.

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

I went by CompUSA today and looked at them all. Its pretty tough when you have to make a decision and can't type on one for an hour . I am no longer leaning towards the DiNovo, but i am considering the others in particular the Logitech MX Series. Thanks for all the replies so far, any other suggestions or recommendations from anyone?

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

I have five computers with wireless keyboards. Three use the Logitech Cordless Duos, and 2 use Interlink Electronics Versapoint Wireless RF Keyboards. I am happy with both, but they have different functions.

The Logitechs are on my kid's workstations, which are used for gaming and intense typing (messaging). They need to be fairly close to the receiver, and can have line of site issues if the desktop gets messy.

The Interlinks are used for my PVRs almost as a remote. I like them because of the range, and because they are comfortable/easy to use. My wife and kids also use it to control our family room PVR at times (along with a FF and a Pronto).

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

I tried the Gyration which was ok but exchanged it for a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX for Bluetooth . I've been very happy with the Logitech, although I don't type for hours on it at a time. I type with the keyboard on my lap and the mouse resting on the couch next to me. Once in a while I play some Thief Deadly Shadows on the HTPC, and it seems pretty comfortable.

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

I got the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX. Had it for about a year. It great. I like the fact that the mouse comes with a charging stand. I had some two different microsoft wireless keyboard mouse combination and kept having the replace the batteries in both. I think i replaced the battries in the keyboard once. But I am not even 100% sure if I did. As I just checked and i think it comes with enginerize battries for the keyboard.

I used this keyboard daily, for several hours a day. Not as much now, but I was using it for school. Typing papers etc.

Only down side?

Stupid keys on top do not work with Beyond TV. I allready send a request to Logitech, maybe other MX user here could do the same.

The volume control those work however, and the bright side since it indepent of Beyond TV, I can turn down or up computer volume seperatly of Beyond TV audio.

Other then it one flaw, It an assume Keyboard. Best one I bought to date. Normaly be this time I be looking at replacing the keyboard, but about the only one I would switchit for it the bluetooth version, only because then with could use it with my PDA once i got a blue tooth card of it.

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I went ahead and saw the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX for $65 at Sams Club yesterday so I picked it up. Cool thing is when I got home I realized it only rang up for $31. So its definitely a keeper.

Re: Need Recommendations on Confortable Wireless Keyboard

Just got home to hook the Logitech MX up. And man am I a happy camper, and I haven't even gotten to play with the mouse yet! This is much more comfortable to type on than any of my previous keyboards. Not a keyboard for an htpc but definitely a keeper for work/development.

Thanks again for all the suggestions,
-Brett
