Product Comparisons
Hi,
I'm just trying to get some information here before I purchase. I like the idea of recording shows and burning them to a cd for later. I also like the idea of cutting particular clips and adding them into my home movies...although I'm not sure *.wmv will edit like *.mpg or .avi will they? My biggest question is why SnapStream over the others? I'm not interested in streaming through my home network...or other locations, just recording movies at the best quality possible, although I don't want to go buy more equipment...have enough of that already. For this use, is SnapStream the best software product compared to Cyberlink Power VCR II, MGI TV, or InterVideo WinPVR? I know this probably does more than the others, but for my particular purpose, is it the best one & editable at the highest resolutions? Thanks! |

I have just recently started plaing with Snapstream and powerVCR.
I cant tell you much, but Snapstream appears to be very intuitive, and easy to use. The only problem it has that I can see is it only saves files in .wmv format. A product isnt much use to me if I cant convert my stuff to divx or VCD...I think if it could write to avi, I would probably buy it in an instant. I still have to play with it a bunch, but saving only to wmv seems like its only downfall. |
