Hauppauge IR remote setup questions

I am pretty happy with my 250 and BTV. Now I just need to start tweaking the remote to make it perfect.

1. I would like to do is be able to stop the full screen interface and then restart it from the desktop with the remote.
2. Controll the mouse (and clicks) while on the desktop.
3. How do I add Windows Media Player support to its codes? Currently (stock) it only pauses and plays.

I did a search within the forums and on Google but didn't find any answers or a resource and Hauppauge doesn't have a forum.

Any solutions or good sources of information?

Hey! I had the same problem!

Here's my fix. Put the following under your [Default] section in irremote.ini in your Windows directory (I have a shortcut to mine on the desktop so I can keep tweaking it.

GRNPOWER={run(WTLPVSApp.exe /mode fs /startscreen epg)}

This changes the function of the 'green power' button on the top left. Now I can walk into my bedroom, turn on the TV, switch to VIDEO1, hit the power button on the Hauppauge remote, and BTV comes up right to the program guide. Use the arrow keys to go back and EXIT FULLSCREEN if you want to exit the interface.

Check the help file for other switches if you want to use a different start screen. Normally BTV starts up minimized so I can use the PC.

On #2 & #3... can't help you there... that would be nice, though. I'm sure there's a way to do it. The irremote.ini file has clues to that but I haven't figured it out yet.
