Running SmartChapter generation on imported Mpegs.
As an experiment I thought I'd try moving some shows from my ReplayTV to the HTPC with the BTV running. I copied the shows over the LAN to the common folder for the BTV captures. Then in the Web Admin. GUI, I selected the new added shows and turned on the SmartChapter generation for them. Set it to start immediately. Which it did. And Voila !
BTV played the mpegs back slick as a whistle and commercial skip (Smart Chapter generation) worked just fine. I may just move all the recordings via some kind of automated program to the BTV PC. It means I don't have to keep switching from the ReplayTV to the Snapstream PC to view various shows. Everything is in one place. Rich
