Get Rid of Tivo?
I'm thinking of finally getting rid of my Tivo. I paid the lifetime subscription about three years ago for $199, which now costs $299. Before I get rid of it, wondering what the feeling is on whether SnapStream will ever start charging for the program guide service. If any of you remember, right before SS3 was released, there was some talk that the programming guide would be a pay-per-month service.
I figure if they start charging $5+/mo for it, it might be better for me to hold on to the Tivo just for the free programming guide. I'm somewhat afraid that SS will bring that subject up again at some point. If they do, is there a free guide around that will work w/ BTV?

...technically if you kept 3.4 I don't believe its even legally possible. However, any free upgrades or updates after that have all rights to infringe on this. Although, I doubt there are plans to do this anytime soon, I know atleast one head guy over there that is strongly against monthly charges.
