what bitrate = 2.35GB/hr?

i want to start archiving my programs to DVD, but since my bitrate is maxed out i cant even come close to fitting them on DVD. what bitrate should i be using where 1hr=2.35GB?

Audio Bitrate = 224000

Frames per second = 29.97
Dimensions = 480x320
Video Bitrate = 4500000
B=2, P=5

I think you would have better luck recording in better qualiity like 3.5 per hour and shrinking it with a program like DVD shrink. The problem is that you can not just pick a value at random and get what you want because to make a DVD it requires some other files to play and the audio and video they also must be seperated out. They always get bigger when demuxing them. The file format that you use in BTV can not be just re-written to a dvd. You must use a DVD authoring program. There are several threads that explain the whole process better than I can. Just do a search for Dvd authoring and read up on it.

I use a video bitrate of about 6000000 at 720 resolution and after commercial cutting, etc. I can get about 2hrs. on a DVD (4-30min. episodes). That includes a menu on the DVD.
