Used to have 5 or 6...now I'm down to 3 with BTV (now I can use one remote to control my satelitte and cable and computer).

Next is trying to get my stereo remote to control my DVD player then I'll be down to 2 remotes!

I have 6 remotes but currently have them all programmed into my 8-in-1 RCA learning remote. This enabled me to program the Hauppauge Silver remote codes for controlling my HTPC and finally remove all the remote clutter.

Well, we actually have several "primary" viewing areas:

#1 - 1
I use a ProntoNeo to control everything (TV, BTV, Surround, DVD)

#2 - 2
I use Firefly to conrtol BTV and a TV Remote.

#3 - 2
I use a Hauppauge remote for MediaMVP and a TV remote.

Just using firefly, I can get up off my lazy bum to go flip the TV on the old fashion way.

Really just one main one, a Kameleon 6-in-1 remote from Radio Shack (they have the codes for MCE now) although I also use the Philips MCE remote.

harmony remote does it all. tv, btv, stereo, dvd, vcr, and turtelbeach audiotron. much easier to use and program than the jp1 remotes, though they offer a cheaper solution.

I used to have 4 remotes in my living room, but I went out and bought a One-For-All 8910. I was able to program it with the functionality that I want with the help of Girder and a USB-UIRT. About the only thing I dont have it controlling is my Video Selector, but that's just because i've been to lazy to re-program it after getting the new remote. My HTPC is so integrated with the system the power button on the remote actually sends a signal to Girder to send the power command to my TV. It has other functions depending on what program i'm in, and the power to the TV only works if I'm at the main menu of my machine that's running myHTPC

With the HTPC remotes for:
- DVD Player
- Motorola STB
- TV
- Receiver
- CD Player

...were all condensed into a single ATI Remote Wonder, of which we have two (damn kids always lose one hehe).

I use uICE, HE Remote and a myBlaster IR device to control everything through the Remote Wonder.
