Request: Non-Intrusive User Interface

Has anyone ever suggested an alternate interface for people who use BTV for display on a computer only?

I find that the interface on top of the image is distracting, even when using the transparent 3d mode.

I would prefer to be able to have my controls displayed outside of the television image, instead of on top of the image.

Well there has been a little bit of talk at least among the testers that they would like to see something like what you are talking about when using overlay mode (because the interface cannot be transparent). Basically from what I remember they wanted the video image to scale down when the interface came up (similar to that of the old windows media player). So for what it’s worth it has at least been mentioned.
