Video Card Advice

I just got my system up and running - it actually seems to be working - what a concept. I have a P4 2.1 Ghz, 80 GB, 512 MB Ram, Hauppauge PVR350, ATI Radeon 9200. I have COAX running into Hauppauge - composite from Radeon to Sony Trinitron 27" TV (S-Video in on TV is occupied for DVD Player). I notice that the onscreen text - details about shows etc is fairly blurry - nearly unreadable. I might try an S-Video cable to see if there is an improvement. Any suggestions. I just picked up the Radeon card - I have 15 days to decide if I want to keep it or not - is there a better card for TV out?

Thanks for any advice / suggestions.

Arthur

Most people perfer the GeForceFX 5200 for TV out. I personally have a GeForceFX 5700 Ultra that is scheduled to arrive next week.

i have the ati 8500dv and have a wonderful picture out of btv. i doubt that the newer 9200 is your problem. i'm using the composite out of the ati, but have you tried the svideo to see if that improves things? i've not messed with it in awhile so i'm not sure what to tell you in terms of tweaking. sorry.

The picture quality is great - the only thing that is tough to read is the text when the program guide is showing details of a program - text just a little too small - font style - to read clearly without straining. I am getting used to it though. I would certainly recommend both these cards for my purposes - although I could have saved a coulpe dollars and purchased the PVR250 instead - not currently using the output from the PVR350.
