How to capture to MPEG1 layer2 audio stream
Does anyone know why I can't capture MPEG2 program stream with MPEG1 Layer2 audio stream (at 224K-bits, 48KHz sampling rate) as that was the configuration setup in BTV? Instead, I would get MPEG2 with Linear PCM audio stream at 1536K-bits. I suspect that is because of the Adaptec VideOh! USB 2.0 external encoder, which encodes the video stream to MPEG2 but not the encoding and compressing the audio stream. Any idea of how can I change that?
I also have hauppauge MediaMVP and it does not play/stream MPEG2 with 1536 LPCM audio stream with sound. You'll get the video but just no sound. It does play/stream MPEG2 with MPEG1 Layer2 audio stream OK though. Email to hauppauge/adaptec yield no responses from them. Thanks for any suggestions and help on this. Ken Here's my PC configuration. Intel P4 2.40GHz 512MB RAM Windows XP Pro Ver 2002 SP1 Adaptec VideOh! Media Center USB 2.0 (AVC-2310) Realtek AC'97 Audio Hauppauge MediaMVP on 100MB LAN nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 Video Adapter BTV 3.4.3
