Video Capture Card
I have a very quick question. I currently have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 on order - however I had noticed there have been issues with TV Out and Streaming etc. Any advice as to if this is the right card for me. I am looking forward to being able to "pause live TV", record programs, streaming would be cool - not certain as to how often I would use it. My plan is to test it out with my current PC P4 2.2GHz - if it works the way it is supposed to I will be getting a machine that will be dedicated for this function.

The 350 is a fine card to order...though as far as BTV is concerned a 250 will work identically. The TV-Out is limited (although better) on the 350. For example it can not display recompressed shows using the 350. Most people use the TV-Out on a videocard. This can display absolutely anything.
You may be able to save $50 but if you have already ordered the 350 I would not worry about returning it. The streaming issue is streaming LiveTV across a network. And it will be taken care of with version 3.5 when full client support is implemented. -Brett
