Steps to upgrading from 3.3 to BTV 3.4.2
I have finally decided to upgrade from 3.3 to 3.4.2 while the wife if out of town. I would be toast if our PVR crapped out.
Here are the steps that I took. 1. GHOST c: 2. Download latest drivers for the PVR250 from http://www.shspvr.com 3. Followed the instructions on cleansing the system of old drivers 4. Download and install the latest driver for ATI Remote Wonder 2.x 5. Downloaded the latest BTV from snapstream.com 6. Installed/Upgraded Everything just worked. Tonight, I am going to take a snapshot (GHOST this image). Everything is good. Features that I like about the new version. 1. Ability to search for shows from FSUI 2. Showsqueeze (though, it takes a long time. My CPU has beed pegged at 100% for 12 hour straight so far. 3. SmartSkip (great idea, there are still some minor problem) The down button on ATI remote wonder should not rewind to beginning of the video when a show hasn't already gone through the "smartskip" process. I don't know how many times I hit the down button accidently in the middle of the show and had to fast forward back to where I was. I hope the next version has a programmable "favorite channel" button. - J

While reading this post, especially after the first line. I imagined him sitting in a dark room hidding and the entire post is like a whisper
hehehehe Fun doing stuff when the wife isn't home.

If only someone told him that Snapstream is up to 3.4.3 now, not 3.4.2
Guess you have to repeat the process next weekend.-Brett

Keep in mind that the drivers on shspvr.com are beta, not official release...so use at your own risk!
