svideo input as additional channel

I would really like to add my svideo input as a channel, so it appears in the guide as channel.

I use the onboard tuner on my 8500 aiw for 95% of my recordings, but i would really like to record stuff from my digital cable box as well.

I would also like to do this as a way of converting some VCR tapes into digital recordings.

A number of us are hoping selection of input will make it in 3.5.

Wouldnt it also be nice, if you could have "Always timeshifting" set for individual inputs? I would like to have my PS2 plug into my BTV box so i could run the audio through the 5.1 instead of using COAX RF converter for my ps2 (not enough inputs on TV) - But if the other Inputs Were enabled, itd still timeshift which would throw off a video game.

Yeah, I wouldn't run your video game into a 250, there's going to be lag even if it's slight. I'd just buy a switch for ~$20.

my main reason for wanting this, is I want to use the coax for all non digital channel recording. so that I can record shows reguardless of who's watching what.. But when I want to record a digital channel then if it'd switch over to the svideo in and start using the IR blaster that would be my ideal setup.
