Very important feature missing?
Am I do something wrong here or is there an important feature missing?!
Just downloaded the free trial. Installed onto server and it works OK. Big beefy server machine is tucked away in office area at back of house. So, I'm using a browser on an old laptop, on a wired 100 Mb ethernet LAN, with S-video out, using the 8129 port to get pics from the server to the TV. That works OK also.
But how do I pause a live TV show on the laptop? If I can't do that, then the way I have BTV set up is no different that if I were to use a $49 VCR from Walmart, right? Yes, yes, I know that programming a VCR is a pain, but it's not much different than putzing around with the online TV guide (for PC geeks such as us on this board!).
Again, this is a server-remote configuration, but I'm guessing that's a common occurrence because I don't know many households where the power PC is next to the family TV.
Pausing live TV (remotely) is the key differentiator and USP here. Without that, I still have to wait for the TV program to finish before I can watch it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
