Please note, that the last rebate I did with Snapstream took forever and I only got it after numerous emails.

I'm not sure if Outpost will be able to ship since when I spoke to them they told me that they placed and order for 1000 back in October and they only got in 500 (and those are gone already)

Too bad there's no way to just get they BTV key and submit the rebate. As I dont think many people have the "need" for the actual boxed software, when you can just download it.

Well, rebates can be postmarked up to 12/30, so I'd say make the order, net result is about $9 and change with shipping and tax. If SS doesn't ship to them in time for the rebate, cancel the order.

Now, what SS could do (you listening Rakesh?) is offer to email a confirmation number and a product number instead of the disk, for those interested in speedy processing. Their goal is to get new customers, and this would do that.

Personally, I think this makes a hell of a gift, so I wouldn't mind the disk and box, but given the choice of the deal vs no deal, I'd be more than happy for an email and product number. However I guarantee no one will tolerate if disks do not become available, or if the rebate is not processed effectively (we've all seen the complaints here and other boards). They will cancel their orders rather than pay and probably never consider Snapstream again.

But I have faith, SS may have their slow times but they eventually take care of you.

I went to buy one on Black Friday to get the free in-box Firefly Mini, but all they had were these "DVD boxed" items. I believe the prior item number is the traditional large cardboard boxed item, with recent boxes including the remote.
