Re: All Users Please Post Current Deals/Sales Here

Just found this thread... no body has come up with anything new in almost a year? OK... here I go with MY two cents..

Here in Canada, Future Shop has a COMSTAR 320 GB External, USB/Networkable (yes... has an RJ45 for quick connection to your home network) hard drive for $99.00 CAD.

I bought one about a month ago and use it to store the ripped copies of my DVDs so we don't have to put them in and out of the DVD player!

There's no other hardware needed and it acts like a SCSI drive (with the SCSI drivers) - local drive, blistering fast.

Re: All Users Please Post Current Deals/Sales Here

Hello,

I have 4 Hauppauge MCE150's that I would like to sell. Two are brand new still in the box, while the other two have been used & yes, they work fine. I upgraded to the MCE500 after I swaped out my motherboard... I didn't have enough PCI slots to use all of the 150's.

If you are interested, shoot me a PM.

Kelly

Re: All Users Please Post Current Deals/Sales Here

Sears has the Harmony Advanced Universal Remote for Xbox 360 (a 520 clone with 8 more buttons) on clearance for $36.97. This is instore only, not online, and will be strictly luck of the draw as both Slickdeals & Fatwallet have hit this for over a month. I'd recommend calling ahead, hit zero for customer service & ask if they have item 96201. If you select or get transferred to the Electronics dept, count on being told "out of stock" even if they do have some. I found two at my Sears, I bought one and the salesman bought the other! Some deal discussion here:

Re: All Users Please Post Current Deals/Sales Here

saw that, still, 500 gb for $100 is the better deal, for now, when they drop to $150 then we're there. I'm building a new system, had that choice to make.

in light of the HD PVR USB coming, Circuit City is having a no interest for 3 years on TVs 999.99 or more.

Re: All Users Please Post Current Deals/Sales Here

Here's one that sadly we currently cannot take advantage of. Netfix is removing the restriction on online video viewing - http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/01...eos-as-they-w/
Anyone in the $8.99/mo plan or better can get unlimitted viewing of online content (prempting apple, nice)

So, BM could sure use a revival of that netflix plugin (unless of course SS wants to put it directly in Btv). I know Sage already has this integrated, I think there's something in MP, I was going to check that out next.

Yeah, Media Portal has one as well. - http://www.team-mediaportal.com/file...etflixManager/
seems to just open IE and begin streaming, but, I'll test it out when I reactivate my subscription.
