TV Out Doesn't Look So Good
I finally got video and audio to the TV, but the picture didn't look so good. First, the picture didn't fit the TV screen right. I got to the setting where I could move it around, but I need to squeeze the bottom and sides to see the entire picture. Where are these settings in the NVidia software? I only could find the one where you move the screen around.
Also, the picture didn't look so great. I'm recording at Hi-Res DVD (2 gig a hour). The picture looked great on the PC monitor, but the picture actually looked blocky in the black areas (very distracting). I have Hardware deinterlacing set up. Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks for the help!

Since you are using an nVidia you are correct to use Hardware deinterlacing since it won't output 100% correct otherwise. Some users think this is a problem with BTV but I have not gotten it to work in any other application as well (as some users claim to).
Hi-Res DVD may not be good enough. Have you tried the Best setting? Also, what decoder are you using? The default BTV one is not too good. For resizing, in the middle of the move around buttons you should see a small and a large icon. The large icon makes the image bigger. |

I will try using the best setting tonight, but it is going to eat a lot of my HD space quickly :-(
I'm using the Hauppauge InterVideo decoder. Seems to work well.
