Running BTV with a Media Adapter

I'm considering doing either TiVo, or something like Beyond TV combined with something like the Hauppauge MediaMVP.

The questions I have, though, are whether or not this would be an easy setup to use. In particular, if BTV can be controlled via the MediaMVP's remote. Is there any way to get TiVo-type functionality, including pausing TV, while having the computer controlled remotely?

You could always just output the TV to the computer, but if you want to go the other way with the MVP check this out:

I expect much more progress will be made when the API is released with 3.5, as this will help it along a great deal. Also if the version that I linked to does not include the onscreen guide, there is a newer one floating around somewhere that does.

BTV, I had my TiVO and gave it away, it is much slower than a properly equipped BTV box.
