Custom recording times rather than whole shows?

I haven't been able to find a way to record just a portion of a show rather than the whole thing.

Lets say I just wanted Letterman's monolog and wanted to record from 11:30 to 11:45 every day. Is there any way?

Manual Recordings can be scheduled through the webgui...but you will lose the "title/episode" information.

Brett,

Do you suppose you could elaborate some? I've already failed to find this anywhere. I assume you mean in the web admin page, but where? Not in the edit function of recording manager, the obvious place.

Thanks,

Jon

Sorry, I am not at my box, normally I would have. I believe if you click Reocrdings, the task on the left side panel will say something about manual recording, from there on it should be pretty straight forward.

The recording will come up in the video library not as "Simpsons" but as "Manual Recording Ch 41". It will also not have the episode descripition of the show.

Yeah, go to the web admin click record then on the left under ‘tasks’ click new recording then you can probably handle it from there.

Same here: not at my box, but I am quite certain you can enter the title of the show and further details that you prefer.

You do loose the automatic episode description of course.
