Freezing live tv all of a sudden.. and recordings

Heya ,

After playing a little with putting new drivers in and what not , my system now freezes when watching live tv , we recorded survivor inferno last night and watched it and it would play and jump around in audio and then freezes on a frame etc..

We then tried to watch live tv and it freezes and jerks all around on live tv now too , I uninstalled everything and installed from scratch "except beyond tv" <--just the drivers , i put back the ones from the cd , that were working previousley and now they are doing the same thing , cpu usage during tv watching is only like 29% but yet it still freezes up and stuff ,

this is more than the occasional little jump that some people consider an annoyance , this is unbearable , any ideas???

I just tried to watch a recording of david blane that was recorded after all the changes and it's the same problem , dvd's are playing back fine , in power dvd , just beyond tv seems to be giving me trouble... If I play the videos in winamp they play fine , unless they were recorded after changes ,such as roadrules...

After playing a little with putting new drivers in and what not , my system now freezes when watching live tv , we recorded survivor inferno last night and watched it and it would play and jump around in audio and then freezes on a frame etc..
Sounds like you need to revert to your old drivers.

Also you are running version 899: Ugrade to the latest (1154) from the download page. It's porly marked last I looked as3.4 Full.

1154 was created to get rid of "jerkiness". Never had it myself, so I don't know if tha'ts what you're describing, but you should give it a go.

I installed the latest version , today and it didn't seem to fix anything , =( I am now running all old drivers the ones from the cd , and still same thing , this didn't happen before though so I dunno what the deal is ,

I might have solved it by using NVDVD but I dunno if that even had anything to do with live tv , I can't check it untill my fiance gets home but it doesn't make sence that it'd just stop working after weeks of working.

Computers don't always make sense. They hickup and suddenly start acting up after months of good and loyal service.
I usually shoot one of mine for the exemple to teach the other ones to behave

Maybe your Intervideo codec started acting up. iI your'e getting good quality with nVDVD's mpeg then you may want to take Inetrvideo out (and put back later if you want).
I didn't see much wrong in your log (though I am by no means an expert at that).
Yes the mpeg codec has everything to do with LiveTV.

I had the exact same problem and cant figure it out. One day it runs awesome and there are no complaints from me then all of a sudden it starts to lock up and stuff. I reinstalled BTV and of course it works fine, but then starts acting up again.

I am also getting a lot of crashes from BTV, but again finally got it working the way it should work then starts to act up.

Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: I tried using NVDVD to see if it fived it but still get the same results. My log is below.

I solved a bit of the mystery. It acts up if the Decoder is set to Intervideo , or Default <--which I assume is Intervideo , with NVDVD on it is much better picturewize but still shutters every few seconds for 1 or 2 frames , kind of annoying especially if I'll have to pay for it , I'm going to attempt to remove intervideo and reinstall it , any suggestion on which version is best?
