setting tuner card to record the svideo input?

I have a hauppage win-tv usb card and I would like to use Snapstream to record what is coming across my super video input? Can this be done? Reason why is that Snapstream is the only program I've found that captures with compression where the audio and video stay in sync. I dont' know if this is because of the windows media codecs versus mpg compression or what but I'd like to extend my use of snapstream to the svideo input on my tuner card. Thanks.

This is an unsupported feature, but if you go to the ssd.ini file and change the DirectShowVideoInput(iirc) from -1 to the proper index of your s-video input (0 through 2 probably) SnapStream PVS will attempt to select that input instead of defaulting to your tuner.

actually, the setting you want to change in your ssd.ini is:
DirectShowCrossbarInput=-1

When this value is set to -1 and you are using WDM drivers and have your Capture Setting set to "DirectShow" the software tries to attach to TV Tuner video source input each time.
