fixed it!!!!
this may be of interest to some of you -
well after scouring the forum, i found a solution courtesy of eDiveBuddy for an "epg low" problem. thought i'd give it a try - "This is occurring because the Microsoft Data Access Components did not register themselves properly. Fixing this is not terribly difficult. Download the MDAC checker from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&DisplayLang=en and MDAC 2.8 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&DisplayLang=en Run the MDAC Checker file and it will unzip itself. Navigate to the directory and run CC.EXE. When it begins it will display a menu; Select "Perform analysis against a selected version" and hit OK. Then, Select "MDAC 2.8 RTM" from the list that then becomes available, and then hit OK. Component Checker will then analyze the files. When it is finished, find each file for which there is a "mismatch." You must delete each of these files, and then reinstall MDAC 2.8. When finished with that, start the Component Checker again and ensure that there are no remaining mismatches. Finally, start BeyondTV. " It turns out i had a mismatch with MSDART.dll, i deleted this, uninstalled Beyond TV completely, then reinstalled MDAC 2.8 and Beyond TV in that order and voila everything works! |
