GUI to watch recorded shows

I had started recording many of the vhs tapes I purchased to my 150 gig hard drive and when the number started to get over 40, I decided that a method of selecting them to view other than text had to be created.
I wrote a simple HTML page with pictures of the VHS boxes and a link to its movie. Just click on the box and Media player starts. I have this on my 4 computer in house network and can watch in the den on the theatre screen or in the bedroom on the 19" over the bed.
I even have a cable running next door to my sister and she or her husband can borrow one of my tapes without even leaving her house.

Check out www.media-box.org. The older version is what you just described. A newer beta has just been released and the media browser is due out later this week (much like any developments this could be wishful thinking). I use it to play all my divx and vcds on my computer in the living room. I have access to all my movies with a click of a button.

The new version is suppose to support remotes so that you can have a Home theather experience and not think it's a computer.
