Great Look but is it software or both hardware and software???

I like the look of the screenshots but still can't determine if this product is software only?

Is this sort of an enhanced MediaMVP ???

If so, will it require a media adapter that sits near your TV???

BeyondTV is software for your PC it would replace WinTV2000 that came with your PVR250. Its got a trial version, your welcome to download, that is fully featured for I think two weeks or so.

If you want to upgrade your MediaMVP there is software for it as well, although this is a community project (which means free) its located here:

Most people though end up placing the computer near the television, outputing the computer screen (BeyondTV) directly to a TV without the MediaMVP.

You can even go deeper in this, for example, I have BeyondTV outputted to all the coax jacks at my place, I then have an RF remote as well. So whatever TV I goto I can control BeyondTV

I have a similar setup as RadioActive except I broadcast both BTV and SageTV throughout my house. I have a couple of MVP players hooked up to kids computer however so that I can allow them to only access shows that they should see.

I'd probably due away with the MVP players if BTV supported some type of access (security) that allowed me to filter what the kids can access.
