I want to record a snippet from a show on TV, for example, from BTV to include in an MPEG2 file to be played on a computer monitor using plain 'ol Windows Media Player.
I downloaded dscaler but that doesn't convert the file as far as I could tell, it just *plays* it deinterlaced. It doesn't actually deterlace the file which I need something to do.
Does anyone have any ideas? I assume if you enable "hardware deinterlacing" in BTV it behaves the same way as Dscaler - it deinterlaces the interlaced recording only as you play it... or does it actually save the file as a deinterlaced recording in the first place?
Did any of that make sense?
Thanks,
