Snapstream VS MS Windows Media Edition
OK, here's the deal.
I love my Snapstream setup... I can watch programs I recorded from my browser at work, make DVD backups, blah blah blah... Now I just saw a MS Windows Media Edition PC and it is awsome. I don't know all the details but it seems to do some of what snapstream does and more. It has a great menu system for viewing TV, recorded shows, pictures, listening to music and a few other things. I don't think it can setup recordings off site or stream video or repack to divx. What I want is for Snapstream to come out with a full blown menu system that does more than Tivo like functions. How much more would it cost to put all those other nifty menu items into their front-end? I don't think much. The ultimate PC would be a small box sitting on top of my cable box that does TV, DVD, pictures and music to say the least. What do you guys think? |
