Question How to view LiveTV in a bigger window?

Hi,

Is there any way to watch the liveTV (on another computer, not on the server) in a bigger window? The window of the liveTV inside of the web browser is too small and I could not finger out a way to stretch it bigger. Can we watch the liveTV directly from media player (so that the window can be easily resized)?

Any information is appreciated.

On my win xp laptop the first time I started live tV it asked me if I wanted to run it within the page or in a separate window - or something to that extent. I chose separate, and I was able to make that separate window full screen (Windows media player in a separate window - can't remember). I did not have that option (that I can remember) on the win2k pc i tried it on and have not figured out what setting separates the video from the page - someone here must know it - I've been meaning to ask this myself! Is there a way to run live tv direct from windows media player without going through the web admin page? (on another computer on the same network).

Yeah, you can watch LiveTV in Windoze Media Player. After LiveTV has started, hit the STOP button. Keep the IE open and open WMP. Goto File->Open URL and type in something like this: mms://192.168.0.128:8080, depending on where your BTV server is. Note that "8080" is the default port for streaming LiveTV.

You must keep your IE window open and not leave the LiveTV screen. You can change channels from IE, but hit STOP in IE after a few seconds (that's however long it takes to switch channels). You don't need to wait 'til buffering is done before you hit STOP.

Re: How to view LiveTV in a bigger window?

IMO the developers could polish this area up a little - make the windows media detachable or something.

If you feel like doing some hacking you can do what I did which was to edit the PVSWebPages.dll file using an editor called UltraEdit (probably any decent editor will work). Look for 'MediaPlayer1' and you see how to change the size of the window. I actually just disabled it and then use either windows media player or ZoomPlayer to view the stream (as another poster described).
