Snapstream Profile on CNET.com

Snapsteam has been reviewed and is featured on the front page of Cnet.com. They only got a 6/10 rating, and I think they deserve better than that. I'd suggest that everyone that likes the software (and it's potential) as much as I do go and post some positive comments about it.

are you stoned?

the CNET reviewer described his problems with installation and set up, and the number of bugs in the software. I think 6/10 is pretty fair and accurate. I've been trying to get this software to work on a win2k/ATI machine for several weeks until i finally gave up and decided to wait for the next version, whenever that is....

you obviously are one of the lucky people not using WDM drivers, running 98 or ME or something, and probably have a video card that they actually support, despite their claims to support everything...

Also while I'm flaming, please note the CNET reviewer mentioned at least 24 hours to get any response with support questions, which kinda sucks...I for one have been scanning these boards looking for any resolution for my Win2k/ATI problem, and I've seen posts out for several weeks with no response at all....

I'm forced to agree, I bought the software and it's instable yet (1.5 and 1.55-free), I'm using a XP professional and I'm trying to get supprot 2 or 3 times weeks and nobody return . The software is a great idea but without a support ....?
Well I'll wait the new version more stable.

I actually have to disagree with the previous posts.
Having been using Snap Stream since v1.25 I have found it to be an excellent and very stable product.
Until recently I was recording 15 hours of programming a week and with v1.5 have ramped that up to almost 6 hours a day.
I honestly think your problems reside with the capture devices you are using.
Get your hands on a Osprey card and you will have no problems. I have used them to make Windows Media archives of up to 72 hours.
Nothing comes close.
Also I am using quality cards, motherboard and 98SE. XP? Me? Buggy, buggy, buggy...
Try and get support from ANYONE about a Me or XP problem. Let alone some small start-up that is actually trying to come up with useful, creative alternatives to current crop of mass marketed, idiot-proof, overpriced, planned-obsolescent, pseudo-geek DVRs.

I understand that the software was working with many people but the problem is ... the support to the people that bought the software dont work and I'm not a nerd.I need to get answers about my questions, and at the end, I saw the preview the snapstream on the MS page, Do you think that this product must work with the XP, dont'you! I will left 4 points clear:
1- the software is great!Congratulations to the Team!
2- We need the support for who bought software!
3- We know that the all new software have buggy!
4- It's clear that all the users want to see your software working!
