What system works best for the SS developers?
As I get ready to build my dedicated pvr system, I wonder what kind of system the SnapStream developers get the best results from? It would be interesting if they could post the system specs of the machines that they have found to work the best.
I've got lots of great info from all the posts on this forum, but I'm sure a lot of people would also like to check out what the developers themselves have had good results from. Any chance you good folks at SnapStream could share some of your test system specs with us? Thanks |

I bet it contains a PVR-250.

When I was w/ the company (I left 3, 4 months back having moved to CA for personal reasons), standard on every dev box was
a) Nvidia based graphics cards b) dual monitors c) Hauppage PCI WinTV a las, no standard 250 on everyone's desktop. That said however, quite a few of the machines in the test lab have them as do many of the guys' personal machines at home that they record with. Actually, aside from one guy, I think just about everyone who actively uses the software at home uses a 250 with it. :P ....oh, for full disclosure, my personal box that I use with the software-- Hauppage 250 NVidia based GeforceFX 5700 Onboard NForce2 sound On an Athlon 2700+, 1GB RAM |
