Output to LCD
I have an ATI AIW 9600. I'm hoping to buy a 50 inch LCD projection TV within the next 6 months or so. The AIW 9600 does not have DVI support, however, the TV does. The TV also has a VGA input. If I choose not to buy a new video card with a DVI out, will I really notice that much of a difference? I mean, if I'm connecting directly through VGA and playing snapstream recordings or DIVX movies, will I be able to tell? Keep in mind that I'm not an expert by any means.
Thanks. |

You will not notice any difference unless you really look closely which most people don't do anyway. A good example to use is to look at a flat panel tv next to a standard crt tv. You will notice little to no difference. I have a LCD projecter (Not TV) and I have both a DVI and VGA output and have tried both and notice no difference.
