Register to snapstream.net without using PVS?
I received my shipment last night of SnapStream and the PVR-250. I copied down the PVS code ID on the label of the CD slipcover and brought it here to work so sometime today I could create an account on snapstream.net and browse through it to see what its all about.
But there seems no way to register SnapStream from a website? Must I have to do it from the PVS software? Plus, my computer I'm installing SnapStream PVS on does not currently have an internet connection; and won't for the near-term... Seems like there should be some way at snapstream.net to register a username/password with the ID key...?

It is only possible to create an account through the setup software on Snapstream. I am pretty sure it ties the product code to the server.
Nevertheless, if you don't have an internet connection on the computer with Snapstream, then Snapstream.net will be of no service to you. It is used for remotely adding recordings to your Snapstream PC. A lack of an internet connection will also make it impossible to get program guide data. Do you not have at the very least a dialup connection on your Snapstream PC? -Brett

Well, I'm in the midst of setting up this donated PC...I just realized last night that the modem was yanked out of it.
 So I gotta get one...I was just hoping to play with it a bit beforehand.  I only have dial-up access out here where I live.
